Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a relevant scientific field (chemistry, biology, clinical laboratory science, medical technology) preferred.
• MD/DO with medical license preferred.
• ABCC/ABMGG/ABB certification strongly desired.
• ABP certification in Molecular Genetic Pathology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical, scientific, regulatory, and administrative oversight for high-complexity CLIA laboratory testing services.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, NY State CLEP, and other regulatory bodies.
• Oversee testing accuracy and reliability across pre-analytic to post-analytic phases.
• Provide interpretation of results and consultation to physicians and healthcare providers.
• Lead quality assurance programs and ensure timely corrective actions.
