The Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) functions as a laboratory professional who assists other laboratory personnel in specimen collection, specimen receiving, specimen processing, laboratory testing, process improvement, and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

1. High School or equivalent.
2. Basic computer skills and strong customer service skills.

Preferred Job Requirements:

1. Certification from a nationally recognized agency as a phlebotomist upon hire.
2. Certification from a nationally recognized agency as a medical lab assistant within 2 years of the hire date.
3. Experience working in the clinical setting.
