Job Summary

FT Medical Lab Assistant II Position with Novant Health, 2:00PM-11:30PM!

The team member is responsible for pre-analytical processing of laboratory specimens, including order processing, specimen verification, centrifugation, aliquoting, etc. They validate and process specimens delivered to the laboratory, ensuring timely and appropriate specimen preparation for testing. The team member may also perform phlebotomy. They must be able to make decisions, solve problems, and recognize when to involve leadership support. Ensuring policies and procedures are followed is essential. Additionally, they will assist in the orientation and training of other personnel on equipment and software as necessary.
