UMC Health System is seeking a Medical Lab Assistant I to provide administrative and technical support to phlebotomists, lab technicians, and management staff in the lab. Reports to Supervisor, Medical Laboratory.

The role involves handling specimens, performing minor CLIA waived tests, and coordinating orders from clinics and vendors; strong teamwork and English fluency are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Responsabilités

• Assist laboratory staff in assigned actions.
• Handle specimens (blood, urine, bodily fluids, tissues, stool) for analysis.
• Perform minor CLIA waived tests that do not require licensure.
• Follow up on orders from clinics and vendors.
