Newport Mental Health is seeking a Medical Insurance Coordinator to manage Medicaid applications, eligibility determinations, and related benefits processes. The role supports clients in securing state, federal, and local benefits and assists with cost estimation and payment options.
The candidate will work closely with participants, review documentation, and ensure timely enrollment. A health-related bachelor's degree and strong communication skills are required; bilingual incentive is offered
Salary Range: $50,000 to $60,000 annually
Schedule: Full-Time | 37.5 hours/week

This position will ensure that individuals who may be eligible for state, federal and local benefits are supported in the process of accessing and making application for benefits. This includes registration, insurance eligibility and enrollment/re‑enrollment and access community‑based behavioral health treatment for clients. Review each application to confirm that the financial statements and other personal information are accurate. Interview the applicants and family members when necessary, and document all your findings that lead to approval or denial of the Medicaid application.
