Job summary

Pellahealth in Iowa seeks a Radiologic Technologist to provide imaging services under physician supervision, completing duties with minimal oversight.

Requires ARRT registration, Iowa permit, and program completion; hospital experience preferred; BLS within 3 months; strong teamwork and communication, plus reliable patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a program for Radiologic Techs.
• ARRT registered and Iowa permit to practice prior to taking x-rays.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.
• AHA Heart Code BLS certification within three months after hire date.
• Valid Iowa driver’s license with satisfactory MVR (if applicable).
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Strong empathetic listening and teamwork.
• Willingness to pursue further radiographic education or certification.
• Leadership and effective communication skills as required.

SCHEDULE: Days – 10-hour shifts
FULL TIME: ROTATING WEEKDAYS OFF

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing medical imaging services as directed by the physician and/or radiologist. Completes assigned responsibilities within his/her certification with little or no direct supervision. Participates in performance improvement activities and quality monitoring for the department.

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Graduate of a program for Radiologic Techs.
• ARRT registered and obtained Iowa permit to practice prior to taking x-rays.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required. New employees certify within three (3) months after hire date.
• Must possess a valid Iowa driver’s license and meet satisfactory motor vehicle record requirements, if applicable.
• Must maintain and provide proof of his/her own auto insurance policy, if applicable.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• High degree of empathetic listening, tact and kindness toward others.
• Ability to communicate well verbally. Must work effectively as a member of a team.
• Strong computer knowledge
• Technical skills associated with duties listed within this job description. Must be competent in all assigned areas.
• Willingness to complete further radiographic education or certification as required by the department.
• Must demonstrate leadership and effective communication skills as required for this position.
