Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Medical ICU Registered Nurse who coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with department standards, state and specialty requirements. The RN collaborates with medical providers and the care team to implement care using models such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.

This role emphasizes advocating for patients and families, supporting quality measures and evidence-based practices, and contributing to exceptional outcomes.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required within 30 days of start date.
• RN licensure with active state licensing.
• Associate degree in nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the ICU.
• Document care in the patient record promptly and accurately.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and follow-up.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and manage care.
