Job summary

Mohawk Valley Health System seeks a Coding Supervisor to maximize resources and supervise the coding team under the Director of CDI & Coding. The role focuses on monitoring coders for quality and productivity and enforcing procedures and workflows.

Responsibilities include establishing competencies, providing training modules, updating work standards, and referencing performance issues to senior management.

Qualifications

• AS in Healthcare Information Technology
• 5 years in hospital coding
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, Official coding guidelines, DRGs, APCs, and documentation guidelines
• Familiar with encoders and groupers
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, organization, and coordinate multi priorities

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Licensure/Certification Requirements

Required:

• CPC, CCS, RHIT

Preferred:

• RHIA
