Job summary

Select Medical in Elmhurst IL is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to join our outpatient physical therapy center. This full-time role features a schedule Monday through Friday with some evenings, and a pay range of $18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience.

You will manage both patient intake and administrative tasks to ensure a smooth visit. As the first point of contact, you will greet patients, register them, schedule appointments, handle co-pays and insurance verifications, and

Type of Employment:Full-time

Schedule: Monday - Friday (hours vary/2 evening per week till 6pm)

Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00/hour (pending experience)

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Qualifications

Minimum:

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred:

• 1 Year Front Desk experience
• Bilingual
