Select Medical in Houston, TX seeks a part-time Patient Service Specialist to join our outpatient physical therapy center. You will greet, register and assist patients, schedule visits, and handle insurance verifications.

The role starts at $16/hour with potential benefits consideration after 1000 hours; weekdays 7:30am–12pm, on-site at Vantage Parkway. This position requires a high school diploma and at least one year of front desk, medical office, and scheduling experience.

Qualificações

Overview

Position:Patient Service Specialist

Type of Employment: Parttime

Schedule: Weekdays - 7:30am to 12pm

Compensation: Starting at $16 hour (pending experience)

When patients enter our outpatient physical therapy center in Houston, we want them to have an exceptional experience – starting at the front desk. That’s where you come in. As a patient service specialist, you’ll manage both the patient side and business side of our center. Don’t underestimate the impact you can make on every patient’s care experience, even before they leave the waiting room.

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED required
• 1 Year of Front Desk Experience
• 1 Year of Medical Office Experience
• 1 Year of Scheduling Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Health Care Experience
• Insurance Verification Experience
• Bilingual
