Job description

Metropolitan OB/GYN is a busy OB/GYN practice located in Maplewood, NJ, is seeking a Medical Front Desk Receptionist who is courteous, punctual, responsible, and a multi-tasking individual and has Medical assisting experience.

Full-time Monday through Friday Offering insurance benefits of health, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off. This position's duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including scanning, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
  • Seeking courteous, punctual, responsible, multi-tasking individuals
  • Must maintain confidentiality of all physician, staff, and patient information
  • Dependable transportation is necessary with a valid driver's license
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must be able to work independently or together as a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff members, and physicians.
  • Promptly and professionally answers telephone calls as well as retrieves messages that are received via answering service with voicemail
  • Explain financial requirements to patients; collect and record copays as required.
  • Perform registration functions for new and existing patients.
  • Schedule patient appointments.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all patients according to HIPPA compliance.
  • Seeking courteous, punctual, responsible, multi-tasking individuals
  • Experience in the OB/GYN field is a must
  • Must be computer literate with the willingness to learn
  • **Salary to be discussed upon Interview
