Job summary

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or higher.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 months experience as a medical assistant/receptionist in a Physician Office, or equivalent.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows and basic skills in Microsoft Word.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients/visitors and direct them as per protocol.
• Check patients in and out for appointments and collect co-pays.
• Answer phones, triage calls, and schedule appointments.
• Verify insurance and obtain routine authorizations as needed.
• Maintain patient charts and perform routine data entry.
• Cross-train in front desk duties to provide coverage as needed.
