Presbyterian Rust Surgery Center is hiring a Front Desk Associate. In this role you will interface with visitors, patients, family, and physicians on phone and in person.

This fast-paced ASC environment emphasizes quality care and patient experience, with responsibilities including admissions, chart preparation, check-in for pre-op patients, and other clerical duties as needed. Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• One year prior hospital clerical experience or some hospital clerical experience or medical terminology preferred.
• Must have the skills necessary to operate office equipment that are required to fulfill job duties.
• Forty-five (45) wpm typing skills required.
• Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial
• Bilingual preferred.
• Good communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Operates telephone system including receiving incoming calls, taking messages, identify nature of business and call.
• Performs clerical duties including distribution of mail and messages, monitoring office supplies, and maintaining postage meter.
• Assist with chart preparation.
• Assist with Admissions. Check in pre-op patients. Copy identification and insurance. Communication with Pre-Op nursing staff.
• Collect patient responsibility as determined by the Insurance Verifier.
• Provide relief to Admitting, Office Assistant, and Scheduling as required.
