Qualifications

  • 2+ years clinical practice preferred; workers’ compensation experience a plus.
  • Active RN license in good standing; URAC-recognized case management certification.

Job Description

This is a full-time, work-from-home position. The candidate must be located in the Daly City, CA area due to regular local travel for in-person patient appointments.

Join our compassionate team and help make a positive difference in an injured person’s life. As a Field Case Manager, you will work closely with treating physicians/providers, employers, customers, legal representatives, and the injured/disabled person to create and implement a treatment plan that returns the injured/disabled person back to work appropriately, ensure appropriate and cost-effective healthcare services, achievement of maximum medical recovery, and return to an optimal level of work and functioning. In this role, you will:

  • Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and competency in the application of case management standards of practice.
  • Use advanced knowledge of injury types, medications, comorbidities, treatment options, and job duties to advise on treatment plans.
  • Interview disabled persons to assess recovery, including occupational or non-occupational injuries or conditions.
  • Collaborate with treating physicians/providers and utilize available resources to tailor treatment plans.
  • Work with employers and physicians to modify job duties to facilitate early return to work.
  • Evaluate and modify case goals based on patient progress and treatment effectiveness.
  • Manage workload independently, prioritizing cases effectively.
  • Complete additional duties such as attending appointments, preparing status updates, and other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years clinical practice preferred; workers’ compensation experience a plus.
  • Skills: Effective advocacy with physicians, employers, and customers; ability to work independently; basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook); strong written communication skills.
  • Certifications: Active RN license in good standing; URAC-recognized case management certification (e.g., CCM, CRC, CRRN, COHN, CMC).
  • Travel: Reliable transportation for in-person appointments within the assigned geography.
  • Internet: Reliable internet connection required.

Benefits

Compensation ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, plus potential bonuses based on performance and skills. Benefits eligibility may vary based on employment status.
