Job summary

IPG Photonics Corporation is seeking a Medical Fiber Manufacturing Technician to operate and monitor cleanroom equipment used to assemble medical fiber optic products. You will troubleshoot production stations, perform fiber handling and inspection, and ensure strict contamination controls.

The role covers maintenance, data collection, and collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to keep production goals on track.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of manufacturing or cleanroom experience, preferably in medical device or fiber optic assembly.
• Experience with cleanroom protocols (ISO Class environments, gowning, contamination control).
• Ability to diagnose on manual and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Familiarity with fiber handling, stripping, cleaving, and inspection processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate equipment and processes for assembling medical fiber products.
• Troubleshoot and repair automated line stations.
• Follow procedures and complete inspection documentation.
• Maintain cleanroom standards and contamination controls.
• Perform maintenance to ensure equipment readiness and cleanliness.
• Support production goals and data collection for experiments.
