State of North Carolina - OSHR Temporary Solutions is seeking a Program Director II to oversee the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and the NC Medical Examiner System. You will provide strategic planning, supervision, and cross‑divisional coordination to improve public health operations.

The role requires strong leadership, analytical abilities, and the ability to manage complex projects with legal and regulatory considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution.
• Five (5) years of program experience in the area of assignment, including three years of managerial experience.
• Demonstrated leadership, planning, program management, and organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance when senior leaders are unavailable.
• Oversee and coordinate OCME operations and the NC Medical Examiner System.
• Develop and recommend new program initiatives for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Prepare analyses and reports for leadership, legislators, and stakeholders.
