Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Physician licensed to practice in Tennessee.
• Board certified by the American Board of Pathology.
• Certified Forensic Pathologist.
• 5+ years in medicolegal death investigations.
• Valid Tennessee driver’s license.
• Commitment to ongoing professional certification and CE.

Responsibilities

• Perform forensic autopsies and postmortem examinations.
• Determine cause and manner of death; prepare final autopsy reports.
• Investigate medicolegal deaths; coordinate with law enforcement and authorities.
• Testify as an expert witness in court.
• Supervise and mentor forensic pathology staff.
• Oversee accreditation and compliance with state laws.
• Lead mass fatality incident response and coordination.
