Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment at patients' homes or clinics. You will educate patients and caregivers, ensure safety, and support ongoing care with regular visits.

Role emphasizes HIPAA compliance, on-site visits, and timely documentation. A valid driver's license and a customer-service mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Customer service, field-based, or healthcare experience preferred.
• 1 year healthcare technician or field service with customer interaction preferred.
• Senior level requires 2 years of relevant experience, including 1 year in a similar role.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and applicable regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use, care, and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Respond to patient equipment issues, including during emergencies.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, clean, and maintain equipment per policies.
• Complete required compliance training and participate in on-call rotation.
