Job summary

Agiliti seeks a Medical Equipment Technician I in Detroit, MI, to perform cost-effective inspection, maintenance, calibration and repair on a variety of medical devices, including beds and infusion pumps. You will complete paperwork and enter data accurately to support billing and regulatory compliance.

You will work with clinical staff on equipment features and functionality, and be part of a team delivering reliable, ready-to-use devices to hospitals and healthcare facilities nationwide.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted driver’s license.
• Must have a safe driving record based on Agiliti policies.
• Basic computer skills; understanding of computer networks and equipment interaction.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as emergency off-hours.
• Willing to travel periodically to support business needs.
• The ability to lift and/or push up to 75 pounds.
• The ability to often bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, stand and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide cost-effective equipment inspection, maintenance, calibration, and repair service on a variety of medical devices including medical beds, infusion pumps, patient monitoring equipment, etc.
• Complete all paperwork and computer data entry accurately and promptly to ensure complete documentation for billing and required regulatory compliance.
• Communicate with clinical staff on the topics of equipment features, functionality, etc.
