Job summary

Lincare Holdings in Ruston, LA is seeking a CPAP/RAD technician to set up CPAPs and RADs, maintain compliance, manage supplies and orders, and support patient care within the center and in patients' homes. You will document procedures, train patients on equipment use, clean and shelve rental devices, monitor compliance reports, and participate in on-call rotation as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Performs CPAP/RAD setups in a timely and professional manner; may also set up oxygen equipment and other DME in patients' homes; responsible for required documentation and patient instruction.
  • Cleans rental equipment when returned; maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse/storage area.
  • Monitors CPAP/RAD Compliance report and follows up with non-compliant patients; responds to patient requests for CPAP/RAD supplies and arranging shipment.
  • Monitors mdINR Compliance report and follows up with non-compliant patients.
  • Manages the center's oximetry process; follows Safety & Regulatory Manual policies; participates in on-call responsibilities; represents the company professionally; may back up others during absences; requires use of personal vehicle and valid driver's license.

Job description

This employee will set up CPAPs, Respiratory Assist Devices (RADs), maintain CPAP/RAD Compliance, manage CPAP/RAD supplies/inquiries/orders, call mdINR missed appointments, manage Oximetry process, and complete all other tasks assigned/related to the functionality of the center.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Performs CPAP/RAD setups in a timely and professional manner
    • May also perform setup of oxygen equipment and other DME in patients' homes as well
    • This includes completion of all required documentation, instructs patient on the safe and proper use of equipment
  • Cleans rental equipment when returned to the center, in accordance with policies and procedures
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse/storage area
  • Monitors CPAP/RAD Compliance report and follows up with non-compliant patients
  • Receives and responds to patient requests for CPAP/RAD supplies, including insurance verification, confirmation of the specific supplies needed, and arranging for them to be shipped to the patient
  • Monitors mdINR Compliance report and follows up with non-compliant patients
  • Manage the center's oximetry process
  • Follows applicable policies and procedures of the company, including those in the Safety & Regulatory Manual including but not limited to General Safety, OSHA, and Emergency Planning
  • Responsible for participating in on-call responsibilities for the center
    • The frequency of participation will depend on the size of the center and the number of employees sharing the responsibility
  • Represents the company through professional personal appearance, patient care activities
  • May serve as a backup to other employees for vacation, illness, or other periods of absenteeism
  • Requires use of personal vehicle and a valid driver's license
