About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced, hands‑on General Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of a growing healthcare services organization.

This is a highly visible leadership position for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, knows how to build strong teams, and takes ownership of operational performance. The General Manager will oversee field service, delivery and logistics, warehouse operations, dispatch, equipment, fleet, quality, compliance, and customer service support.

You will have a direct impact on both patient experience and business performance. We are looking for a leader who can roll up their sleeves, solve problems, develop people, improve processes, and hold a team accountable while maintaining a compassionate, patient‑centered approach.

If you are an operations leader who enjoys having a meaningful level of responsibility and wants the opportunity to make a measurable difference, we'd like to hear from you.

What You’ll Do
Lead Daily Operations
  • Own the overall day‑to‑day performance of the branch and ensure operations run safely, efficiently, and professionally.

  • Oversee delivery, setup, pickup, removal, service, warehouse, dispatch, equipment, and field operations.

  • Monitor routes, schedules, workloads, and workflows to improve productivity and customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure customer and patient needs are addressed quickly and professionally.

  • Step in during high‑volume periods, staffing challenges, service disruptions, and escalated situations.

  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement practical solutions.

  • Partner with other departments and leadership to ensure a seamless customer and patient experience.

Lead, Coach & Develop Your Team
  • Directly supervise and develop field service, warehouse, dispatch, and other operational employees.

  • Set clear expectations around performance, attendance, safety, professionalism, and customer service.

  • Coach employees regularly and provide meaningful feedback to help them succeed.

  • Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training of new employees.

  • Conduct performance reviews and address performance issues fairly and consistently.

  • Build a culture based on accountability, teamwork, respect, and exceptional service.

  • Recognize strong performance and help develop employees for future growth.

Drive Quality & Compliance
  • Maintain operational compliance with company policies, procedures, accreditation requirements, and applicable healthcare regulations.

  • Ensure the branch is prepared for inspections, audits, accreditation reviews, and internal compliance assessments.

  • Monitor documentation, data entry, equipment handling, cleaning, infection control, and safety practices.

  • Conduct quality and operational audits and follow up on identified issues.

  • Develop and implement corrective action and performance improvement plans.

  • Promote a culture where quality and compliance are part of everyone's daily responsibilities.

Oversee Equipment & Warehouse Operations
  • Maintain an organized, clean, safe, and efficient warehouse.

  • Oversee equipment receiving, cleaning, inspection, staging, storage, maintenance, and distribution.

  • Monitor equipment and supply levels and communicate inventory needs.

  • Help troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs when necessary.

  • Ensure equipment is handled and prepared according to established standards.

  • Continuously look for ways to improve equipment flow and warehouse efficiency.

Manage Fleet & Safety
  • Oversee the maintenance, cleanliness, condition, and safety of branch vehicles.

  • Coordinate vehicle maintenance, inspections, repairs, and related follow‑up.

  • Reinforce safe driving and vehicle‑use practices.

  • Assist with the investigation and resolution of accidents, property damage, and operational incidents.

  • Maintain a strong safety culture throughout the operation.

Deliver Exceptional Customer Service
  • Serve as a senior point of contact for complex operational and service‑related concerns.

  • Work closely with patients, families, healthcare facilities, hospice organizations, skilled nursing facilities, healthcare providers, vendors, and internal teams.

  • Resolve issues quickly while balancing customer needs with operational requirements.

  • Build strong, professional relationships with healthcare partners and community contacts.

  • Ensure every interaction reflects a commitment to professionalism, compassion, and service.

Improve Performance
  • Monitor operational KPIs related to service, delivery, staffing, warehouse activity, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

  • Analyze trends and identify recurring operational problems.

  • Use data and frontline feedback to make better business decisions.

  • Develop and execute improvement plans in partnership with senior leadership.

  • Help implement new processes, systems, and company initiatives.

  • Encourage employees to identify problems and participate in solutions.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a leader—not simply a manager. The right person is organized, accountable, approachable, and comfortable making decisions in a fast‑moving environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of leadership or management experience in operations, healthcare, logistics, distribution, field service, or a related industry.

  • Experience managing teams in a fast‑paced operational environment.

  • Experience overseeing field‑based employees, warehouse teams, dispatch, delivery, logistics, or service operations.

  • Healthcare, DME, medical equipment, hospice, skilled nursing, long‑term care, home health, or home care experience is a plus.

  • Experience with quality assurance, regulatory compliance, audits, or accreditation is preferred.

  • Strong understanding of operational KPIs and performance management.

  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, coach, develop, and retain employees.

  • Strong problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred but equivalent leadership experience will be considered.

What Makes a Great Candidate

You may be a great fit if you:

  • Take ownership instead of waiting to be told what to do.

  • Enjoy solving problems and improving how things work.

  • Know how to hold people accountable while still treating them with respect.

  • Can balance customer service with operational and financial realities.

  • Are comfortable working both strategically and hands‑on.

  • Communicate clearly with employees, customers, and senior leadership.

  • Stay calm and make good decisions when things get busy.

  • Care about the quality of service provided to patients and healthcare partners.

  • Want to build a team and leave an operation better than you found it.

Why Join Us?
  • Meaningful work: Your leadership directly impacts patients, families, and healthcare partners.

  • Leadership opportunity: Take ownership of a broad range of operational responsibilities.

  • Team development: Build, coach, and develop a team that you can be proud of.

  • Growth: Opportunity to improve processes, develop professionally, and grow with the organization.

  • Variety: No two days are exactly alike in this hands‑on leadership role.

  • Impact: Your ideas and decisions can make a measurable difference in operational performance and customer experience.

  • Competitive compensation and benefits: [Insert specific benefits here.]

Work Environment

This position works across a combination of office, warehouse, and field environments. The General Manager should be comfortable walking throughout operational areas, working alongside team members, and responding to operational needs as they arise.

The position may occasionally require after‑hours availability for urgent operational issues, staffing challenges, service escalations, or branch emergencies.

The ability to lift, move, or maneuver medical equipment may be required based on operational needs, with reasonable accommodation available where applicable.

Employment may be subject to applicable background checks, driving eligibility requirements, drug screening, physical requirements, or other requirements based on job duties and applicable regulations.

Equal Opportunity Employer

We are committed to providing an inclusive workplace and equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants. We value diversity, teamwork, professionalism, and respect and encourage qualified candidates from all backgrounds to apply.
