Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is hiring a Field Service Technician I to prepare products for patient use, including cleaning, disinfection, and basic repairs across Baxter and non-Baxter products. You will join a team dedicated to reliable service in healthcare settings and home environments.

Responsibilities include moving equipment, troubleshooting repairs, on-call duties, and demonstrating product use to hospital staff. A strong safety mindset and ability to lift heavy items are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be physically able to move and lift items up to 65 pounds.
• Must follow safety and compliance protocols.
• Ability to operate and navigate electronic devices for data entry.

Responsibilities

• Move and inspect medical products within Baxter service centers, healthcare facilities, and private homes.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate any needed repairs; perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance.
• Provide on-call coverage, up to a 24/7 basis including weekends and holidays.
• Navigate electronic devices like a smartphone, tablet, or PC to enter information.
• Demonstrate how to use Baxter products to hospital staff and caregivers.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including 5S activities.
• Safely operate a company vehicle ranging from a cargo van to a 26,000-pound truck.
