Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our team. Responsibilities include managing patient information related to durable medical equipment and respiratory products, communicating with patients/clients, co-workers, and referral sources, and handling third-party reimbursements. In Minnesota, the position pays between $18.77/hr and $20/hr, depending on experience and location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with updating respiratory grids and verifying paperwork accuracy.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, clients, and referral sources.
  • Complete SOPs/CMNs, document on tracking logs, and prepare files for billing.
  • Coordinate patient information, process paperwork, and prepare reports.
  • Maintain referral logs, monitor supplies, and handle financial transactions like deposits and invoices.
  • Provide service for retail/walk-in equipment requests and offer technical assistance.
  • Verify insurance coverage and resolve customer issues with outside agencies.
  • Perform additional duties, including on-call coverage, driving, and deliveries, as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Preferred experience with medical equipment, billing, and administrative record management.
  • One year of related work experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record is required, if applicable.

  • Accurate mathematical calculations.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
Physical Demands
  • Lift and transport office and patient equipment.
  • Potential exposure to contagious pathogens.
  • Sitting, standing, walking, and visual acuity requirements.
