Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our team. This role involves managing tasks and communication related to patient information intake for durable medical equipment and respiratory products, coordinating with patients, clients, co-workers, and referral sources regarding patient services and third-party reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Update respiratory grid and verify paperwork accuracy
  • Communicate with patients and referral sources to address questions and concerns
  • Complete SOPs/CMNs and document on tracking logs
  • Coordinate patient information, prepare paperwork for billing, and manage batch reports
  • Maintain referral logs and office supplies
  • Prepare deposits and invoices, process paperwork, and assemble charts
  • Assist with retail/walk-in equipment requests and provide technical customer support
  • Verify insurance coverage and collaborate with outside agencies to resolve issues
  • Potentially cover on-call duties, drive company vehicles, and make home deliveries
  • Ensure punctual attendance and work cooperatively with others
Qualifications

Employment is contingent upon background checks, drug screening, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record (if applicable). Minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or GED.

  • Experience with medical equipment, billing, or medical terminology
  • Strong communication, multi-tasking, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, internet research, and office equipment
Physical Demands
  • Lift and carry office and patient equipment (up to 35 pounds)
  • May require driving, making home deliveries, and exposure to pathogens
  • Prolonged sitting, standing, walking, and visual focus on small print
