Job summary

MU Health Care is seeking a detail-oriented embroidery assistant for the Hospital Volunteer & Gifts Shops. The role focuses on organizing time and resources to receive, embroider, and price high volumes of medical apparel while upholding MUHC branding standards and quality.

The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, supporting a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree/diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of embroidery or related experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Interact with staff and customers using excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Organize time and resources to receive, embroidery and price high volumes of medical apparel.
• Maintain equipment with daily, monthly and annual machine basics.
• Educate staff and customers on embroidery process, fabric requirements and pricing.
• Perform embroidery procedures on medical apparel and related items.
• Operate digitizing software and embroidery machines.
