Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Chicago is seeking an Education Coordinator to oversee the operational and financial management of accredited medical education programs, under the direction of the Program Director. You will manage trainee recruitment, scheduling, budgets, and compliance with ACGME and hospital policies, coordinating multiple stakeholders across the education network.

Bachelor’s degree required; one year of program administration experience preferred; tuition reimbursement and 401(k)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or appropriate combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Administration: supports program director, maintains databases, schedules.
• Budgets & Financial: develop, monitor, and report on yearly training program budget, handle purchasing.
• Communication, Outreach & Recruitment: manage match responsibilities, oversee recruitment materials and communications.
• Evaluation: facilitate evaluative processes of trainees, staff, and rotations.
• Human Resources: oversees trainee orientation, onboarding, and visa paperwork.
• Program Development: assist in accreditation site visits and policy development.
• Regulatory Compliance: monitor licensing, contracts, and credentialing; ensure compliance.
• Trainee Support: supervise trainees, coordinate rotations, liaise with hospitals.
• Supervision: supervise trainees and assistants; may hire temporary staff.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
