Job summary

University of Illinois Chicago is hiring for a position on the Rockford campus to provide primary administrative support for core medical education courses in Phase 1 or Phase 2. The role serves as the main contact for faculty and course directors and supports Examinations, the CBT center, and evaluation programs.

The successful candidate will assist with course coordination, scheduling, and data management, ensuring secure exam administration and accurate student performance records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four (4) years of clerical or secretarial experience or related education/ training.
• College coursework in medical education, education, communications, public relations, or related field as measured by conversion table.
• 30 semester hours equals one year; Associate’s Degree equals 18 months; 90 semester hours equals two years; Bachelor’s Degree equals three years.
• Progressively more responsible clerical or secretarial experience, including background in electronic word processing and database management.
• TAGME certification qualifies applicants for each level of this series.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support assigned courses and exams.
• Assist in scheduling preceptorships, blocks and educational activities.
• Maintain course materials and evaluation processes, including Blackboard/Benware.
• Provide in-class support for Zoom, recordings, and teaching materials.
• Maintain CBT operations including test centers and passwords; back-up for Prometric testing.
• Prepare and maintain reports on medical student education programs and LCME accreditation requirements.
