Job summary

MedSpeed is hiring a part-time Medical Driver in Indianapolis, IN. You will spend much of your day in a company-owned vehicle, safely transporting lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, and related materials. A handheld scanner tracks items, and you’ll follow schedules and safety policies.

The role calls for strong customer service, dependability, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. A clean driving record and drug screen are required; COVID vaccination varies by location.

Qualifications

• Must be 19 years of age with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Ability to follow procedures closely.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Regularly drive a non-commercial vehicle for shifts.
• Able to pass drug & alcohol screen.

Responsibilities

• Drive in company-owned vehicle and transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, and related materials.
• Operate a handheld scanner to track items through transportation.
• Follow all policies, procedures and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public.
• Load and unload items with proper equipment.
• Demonstrate safe driving and courteous behavior.
• Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean vehicle.
• Route duties may vary and assignments may change.
• Demonstrate teamwork and contribute to a collaborative MedSpeed culture.
