Job summary

Providence St. Joseph Hospital - Orange in Orange, CA is seeking a Dosimetrist to lead treatment planning and dose calculations under the supervision of the Radiation Oncologist.

Under the direction of the Department Manager and Physicist, you will design and optimize plans, collaborate with physicians, and communicate treatment parameters to the delivery team to ensure safe, accurate radiation therapy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a University or Hospital based Medical Dosimetry program with a clinical and classroom curriculum of at least 9 months or more or Registered Radiation Therapist with on the job training in dosimetry under the supervision of a dosimetrist, medical physicist or radiation oncologist with an additional 1 year of practical, supervised experience in radiation therapy dosimetry.
• Upon hire: National Certified Medical Dosimetrist - Medical Dosimetrists Certification Board.

Responsibilities

• Routinely performs the treatment planning process, which includes treatment planning, design and dose calculations as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.
• Assist the physicist in other related physics functions.
• Collaborates with Physicians and communicates all treatment parameters to the treatment team for the delivery of the radiation therapy treatment plan.
