Job summary

Providence Portland Medical Center seeks a Medical Dosimetrist to perform isodose treatment planning and dose calculations in collaboration with Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicists to meet clinical goals. Strong computer skills and familiarity with radiation therapy systems are essential.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Science or equivalent, plus completion of a medical dosimetry program and 2+ years of clinical practice, or an equivalent pathway with CMD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical science or equivalent and graduate of a medical dosimetry program with 2+ years clinical practice.
• Alternative: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Science with on-the-job dosimetry training; CMD eligibility may substitute ARRT.
• National Certified Medical Dosimetrist required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs isodose treatment planning by computer and manual computation.
• Collaborates with Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicists to optimize dose distribution.
• Interfaces with information services and demonstrates knowledge of radiation therapy software.
