Job summary
Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute’s Department of Radiation Oncology seeks a Medical Dosimetrist to design advanced radiation treatment plans and support oncology teams. The role emphasizes high-precision planning for photon and proton therapies, ensuring accurate dose delivery per physician prescriptions.
You will contour targets, perform image registrations, and collaborate with physicians, physicists, and therapists to optimize patient care.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in physics (or related science) required.
- JRCERT-accredited formal education in Medical Dosimetry preferred.
- MDCB eligibility required; certification preferred.
- Clinical dosimetry experience including 3D conformal and IMRT/VMAT/SBRT planning preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design 3D/IMRT/VMAT/SBRT and/or IMPT treatment plans.
- Communicate with oncologists, physicists, therapists, and staff to implement plans.
- Identify and contour normal and dose-limiting structures.
- Perform image registrations (CT, MRI, PET) for planning.
- Participate in continuing education and quality improvement.
