Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute’s Radiation Oncology department seeks a Medical Dosimetrist to design advanced treatment plans for photon and proton therapies at our Mass General Hospital main campus in Boston. The role interacts with oncologists, physicists, therapists and supports clinical research while upholding high standards of patient-centric care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in physics (or related Life/Physical/Applied Science).
• JRCERT-accredited formal education in medical dosimetry is preferred.
• MDCB eligibility is required; MDCB certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design 3D/IMRT/VMAT/SBRT and/or IMPT treatment plans.
• Coordinate with physicians, physicists and therapists to implement plans.
• Contour normal and dose-limiting structures on imaging data.
• Perform image registrations (CT, MRI, PET).
• Educate students and visiting professionals on plan development.
