Job summary

Deacon Recruiting is seeking a Medical Dosimetrist to join a collaborative radiation oncology team focused on proton therapy. You will develop treatment plans, compute dose distributions, and support QA and protocol development.

New graduates are encouraged to apply and proton training is available for the right candidate. The role emphasizes teamwork, education, and professional development as you work with physicians, therapists, and physicists to advance patient care in a proton therapy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in physics or related field or graduation from a Medical Dosimetry program
• MDCB certification or board eligibility
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage priorities in a clinical environment
• Proton experience preferred but not required; photon planning beneficial
• New graduates encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients undergoing proton radiation therapy
• Compute dose distributions and generate isodose curves
• Create accurate treatment plans with setup instructions
• Support complex patient setup scenarios and planning needs
• Participate in QA procedures and clinical protocol development
• Collaborate with the clinical team on patient care and process improvement
• Support education and training opportunities within the department

What We’re Looking For
