The Ohio State University is seeking a Medical Dosimetrist to join the Radiation Medicine team at James Outpatient Care. The Medical Dosimetrist functions as an integral member of the Department of Radiation Medicine (or its outreach/affiliates) of the Medical Center. The team provides patient care and supportive services directed towards achievement of patient care outcomes through the integrated skills of all team members in the Department. The Medical Dosimetrist, as a member of the team, is thoroughly familiar with geometric characteristics of the radiation equipment, radioactive sources commonly employed, and has the training and expertise necessary to generate radiation dose distributions and calculations under the direction of the radiation therapy physicist. Operates and performs quality assurance on the treatment planning computer.
The Medical Dosimetrist in the Department of Radiation Medicine is a member of the treatment planning team who measures, generates radiation dose distributions and calculations.
Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
