Job summary

Sage Veterinary Imaging seeks a Medical Director to provide senior clinical leadership at our Spring, Texas practice. The role combines direct patient care with protected time for site leadership, DVM and intern development, and quality initiatives.

You will mentor clinicians, develop standards of care, lead M&M reviews, and collaborate with radiologists and operations to advance patient outcomes and diagnostic imaging.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD license must be active or eligible in Texas.
• Five+ years of clinical veterinary experience.
• Leadership experience through mentoring, teaching, supervision, or program development.
• Strong clinical judgment and commitment to evidence-based medicine.
• Excellent communication, coaching, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to provide clear, constructive feedback and influence others through leadership.
• Ability to build trusted relationships across clinical, operational, and executive teams.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
• Willingness to travel between Sage locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as a general practitioner within Sage’s advanced diagnostic imaging environment.
• Lead Spring practice: medical direction, clinical priorities, and quality of care.
• Lead DVMs and interns with coaching, case reviews, and regular feedback.
• Develop clinical protocols, standards of care, and enterprise-wide quality initiatives.
• Oversee enterprise-wide morbidity and mortality reviews and translate findings into practice improvements.
• Collaborate with radiologists, specialists, technicians, and operational leaders to align priorities.
• Travel between Sage locations as needed.
