Companion Animal Hospital Wicker Park in Chicago, Illinois is seeking a full-time Medical Director Veterinarian to join our team!

Companion Animal Hospital (CAH) - Wicker Park is a full-service small animal hospital, offering top-quality medical and surgical care. We opened in July 2019 with a brand-new facility equipped with in-house labs, digital radiography (including dental), ultrasound, and electronic medical records.

Our support staff are highly skilled and utilize their expertise in radiography, blood draws, cystocentesis, IV catheter placement, monitoring during surgeries, assisting in exams, and cytology reading, all while maintaining a low-stress environment. We are proud to be Fear Free Certified.

We are seeking an ambitious, team-oriented Medical Director.

The Medical Director (MD) at Mission Veterinary Partners (MVP) oversees medical excellence, patient care, client service, ongoing learning, and hospital efficiency. This role involves role modeling, coaching, and mentoring associate veterinarians, fostering collaboration with the Practice Manager (PM), and creating a positive, safe work environment that promotes teamwork and retention.

The MD collaborates with the Regional Director to develop an annual plan to enhance medical standards and overall hospital performance, focusing on growth, client satisfaction, pet visits, employee satisfaction, and financial targets. The MD may also serve as the Hospital Director.

We offer flexible scheduling with no on-call or overnight shifts, as nearby emergency and specialty hospitals handle after-hours cases.
