An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced veterinarian to step into a Medical Director position in Auburn, ME. The Role

As Medical Director, you will serve as the hospital’s clinical leader while continuing to manage your own small-animal caseload. You’ll work closely with veterinarians, technicians, support staff and hospital management to maintain excellent medical standards while supporting the continued development of the team.

• Provide clinical leadership across the veterinary team
• Establish and maintain consistently high medical standards
• Remain actively involved in appointments, diagnostics and procedures
• Mentor, coach and support fellow veterinarians
• Support the professional development of technicians and clinical staff
• Provide case consultation and guidance on challenging presentations
• Deliver comprehensive preventative and general veterinary medicine
• Diagnose and manage internal medicine cases
• Perform and oversee routine surgical procedures
• Provide and oversee comprehensive dental care
• Develop and maintain clinical protocols and best practices
• Champion patient safety and continued quality improvement
• Partner with hospital management on scheduling and workflow improvements
• Provide clinical input into equipment and service development
• Support appropriate inventory and operational planning
• Promote excellent client communication and service
• Help ensure regulatory and professional standards are maintained
