Hammocks Veterinary Hospital in Miami, FL is seeking an experienced Medical Director to lead our team in delivering exceptional veterinary care. The role combines clinical practice with leadership, mentorship, and strategic growth, guiding protocols and patient outcomes across the hospital.
The Medical Director will shape the clinical vision, drive staff development, and foster a culture of collaboration. Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are highly preferred to support a diverse client
Qualifications
- Florida veterinary license (or ability to obtain).
- Previous leadership experience preferred.
- Strong communication, mentorship, and team-building skills.
- Passion for medical excellence, coaching, and hospital growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead and uphold medical quality standards and patient care protocols
- Mentor associate veterinarians and support staff
- Partner with hospital leadership on recruiting, training, and team development
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing culture
- Help guide clinical protocols, workflows, and hospital growth initiatives
- Balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on clinical practice
