Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking a Medical Director for a Skilled Nursing Facility in Warren, OH. The role combines clinical leadership with administrative duties, offering full-time or part-time options and a salary in the $190k–$260k range with comprehensive benefits.

The Medical Director will set clinical standards, mentor NPs, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to manage geriatric and chronic conditions while ensuring regulatory compliance and participation in audits.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution with an active, unrestricted Ohio medical license.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or related specialty preferred.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, post-acute care, or geriatrics preferred.
• Experience collaborating with nurse practitioners and interdisciplinary teams.
• Prior Medical Director experience in nursing homes or post-acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical direction and oversight for resident care, and establish clinical standards and best practices.
• Mentor and supervise nurse practitioners, and conduct regular case reviews with the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local long-term care regulations, and participate in surveys and audits.
• Lead QAPI initiatives to reduce avoidable hospitalizations and improve clinical outcomes.
• Serve as the clinical liaison among administration, nursing staff, providers, residents, and families.
