Job summary

HealthDrive seeks a Medical Director to collaborate with Nurse Practitioners caring for skilled nursing residents in sub-acute rehab and long-term care units. This on-site role emphasizes quality initiatives and strong collaboration within the medical staff.

The candidate must hold an MD or DO, Maryland certification, and a valid DEA license, with U.S. residency completed. The position offers competitive compensation and comprehensive support services.

Qualifications

• Valid medical license in Maryland.
• MD/DO degree from an accredited institution and U.S. residency completed.
• Certified Medical Director Certification in Maryland.
• DEA/Controlled Substances license in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Medical Director for SNFs/Rehabs and participate in admin and quality initiatives.
• Attend monthly QA/regulatory meetings and quarterly staff meetings.
• Provide guidance to facility staff and supervise clinical staff; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with NPs to manage daily resident care across facilities.
• Provide high-quality, patient-centered primary care by rounding on residents.
