Job summary

Circle the City is seeking a Medical Director for Respite Centers to lead a multidisciplinary medical team delivering patient-centered care to individuals experiencing homelessness in Phoenix, AZ. The role focuses on policy development, care coordination, and quality improvement within a fast-paced clinical setting.

The position requires an Arizona medical license, board certification in Family or Internal Medicine (or BE within 2 years), and 3–5 years of relevant experience in community health

Qualifications

• Must have valid unrestricted Arizona Medical License.
• Board-Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine OR Board-Eligible (BE within 2 years of residency).
• 3-5 years of experience with homeless or underserved populations preferred.
• Experience in a community health center preferred.
• Ability to adapt to rapid, unpredictable workflow.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and privacy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develops compassionate, expedited, patient-centered care in a Medical Respite Center.
• Leads professional medical team; coordinates care with other providers.
• Develops and implements medical policy and clinical guidelines.
• Promotes wellness using screening and prevention in the homeless population.
• Documents care accurately in EMR; ensures timely charting and productivity.
• Ensures HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality; maintains care transitions.
