Job summary

Circle the City Respite Centers in Phoenix, AZ, seeks a Medical Director of Respite Centers to lead a medical team and deliver high quality, patient-centered care to individuals experiencing homelessness.

The role requires an unrestricted AZ medical license, board certification in FM or IM (or BE within two years), and 3–5 years of experience serving homeless or underserved populations, with strong leadership and EHR skills.

Qualifications

• Must have valid unrestricted Arizona Medical License.
• Board-Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine OR Board-Eligible (BE, no more than 2 years post-residency).
• 3–5 years of experience working with homeless or underserved populations preferred.
• Experience in a community health center preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Strong communication and ability to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Leads the professional medical team and coordinates care.
• Develops and implements medical policies and care guidelines.
• Assesses patient health, including interviews, exams, and histories.
• Delivers patient-centered care and coordinates multidisciplinary services.
• Maintains HIPAA compliance and accurate EMR documentation.
