Centurion Health seeks a Site Medical Director for Idaho State Correctional Center in Kuna, ID. The role provides clinical direction, direct patient care, and supervision of medical staff under the oversight of the Statewide Medical Director.

Requirements include an MD/DO with accredited residency, Idaho medical license, and active DEA registration; two years of clinical practice with supervisory experience preferred, ideally in correctional health settings.

• Background check and security clearance.
• Minimum two years of clinical physician experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in correctional health setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical direction at Idaho State Correctional Center.
• Deliver direct clinical services to patients.
• Provide supervision for medical staff at the site.
• Collaborate with Health Services Administrator for efficient care.
• Participate in CQI, Infection Prevention and Control, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics committees.

Centurion Health is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Idaho Department of Correction.We are currently seeking a full-time Site Medical Director to join our team at Idaho State Correctional Center located just outside of Boise in Kuna, Idaho.The Site Medical Director provides the clinical direction needed to meet the service delivery requirements of the assigned site(s). The Site Medical Director also provides direct clinical services for patients and clinical supervision for medical staff of assigned site(s) under the supervision of the Statewide Medical Director. The Site Medical Director will collaborate with Health Services Administrator at the site to ensure efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided and will participate in various committees to include Continuous Quality Improvement, Infection Prevention and Control and Pharmacy and Therapeutics as requested.Documentation of education as MD or DO and completion of accredited residency program requiredCurrent license to practice medicine in IdahoMust have and maintain an active, non-restricted Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration certificateMust be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicableMinimum of two years' experience as a physician in a clinical setting; supervisory experience preferredExperience in a correctional health setting or institutional setting preferredFull-time.
