Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks a visionary pediatric nephrologist to serve as Medical Director of Kidney Transplant, leading one of the largest pediatric kidney transplant programs in the country and serving patients across Texas and the region.

The ideal candidate combines clinical excellence with a strong academic record and proven leadership to advance outcomes, research, and collaboration with Children’s Health, the Surgical and Nephrology divisions, and regional partners.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in Pediatric Nephrology.
• Three or more years of post-fellowship experience in pediatric kidney transplantation.
• Leadership or directorship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical leadership, set quality and patient experience standards.
• Oversee compliance with UNOS, CMS, and medical staff bylaws.
• Recruit, onboard, mentor faculty and APPs; support trainee education.
• Drive research, clinical trials, and quality improvement in transplantation.
• Grow referrals and manage outreach to regional partners.
