Job summary

Daymark Health seeks a Medical Director to lead supportive and palliative care in the Michigan market, supervising clinicians and delivering patient care through in-person and virtual visits. You will help shape Daymark's care model and collaborate with care navigators, behavioral health, and social resources teams.

You are a physician with Hospice & Palliative Medicine board certification or 3+ years in the field, with licensure in California or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with Hospice & Palliative Medicine board certification or 3+ years in palliative care
• Active, unrestricted California medical license or willingness to obtain one
• Experience leading clinical teams in palliative care; community/home-based care a plus
• Strong communication and data-driven approach
• Comfort with technology and remote care capabilities

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day clinical work of the market care team, supervising NPs and nurses
• Direct patient care with a mix of virtual and in-person visits (~50% time)
• Escalate complex oncology cases to the Michigan Medical Director
• Help design and refine Daymark's supportive care model
• Build relationships with oncology practices, primary care, hospice and health plan partners
