Tempus AI, Inc. is seeking a Medical Director to lead the Tempus+ program within the Medical team.

You will drive research strategy, evidence generation, adoption, and education, partnering with academic institutions and health systems to accelerate data-driven oncology research. This role requires an MD/DO (or MD/DO/PhD) with strong oncology expertise, experience directing multi-site observational projects, and proficiency in medical informatics and biomarker evaluation.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or MD/DO/PhD with a strong clinical oncology background.
• Experience directing multi-site observational projects and precision medicine initiatives.
• Familiarity with medical informatics, clinical data modeling, biomarker evaluation, and real-world data usage.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary medical point of contact for Tempus+ institutions and physicians.
• Foster collaboration through scientific and research-focused working groups.
• Travel up to 20% to provide on-site support and relationship management.
• Guide external investigators in hypothesis generation and proposal development.
• Support researchers exploring the Data Library via the Lens platform.
• Shape publication and dissemination strategies for high-impact journals.
• Align clinical investigation strategies with oncology standards and clinical value.
• Collaborate with internal teams to translate data into actionable insights.
