The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with New York City H+H Queens Hospital Center (QHC) has an exciting opportunity for a Medical Director of SUD Services.
QHC serves the culturally diverse community of Eastern Queens and is seeking a full-time Board-Certified Adult Psychiatrist with Addiction Psychiatry Board Certification. The SUD Services include Ambulatory Care Services with Medically Supervised Outpatient Program, ED LEADS and an opportunity to participate in new initiatives including Addiction Response Team ART Services to QHC clients. H+H Queens/Mt. Sinai is also proud to begin a new Psychiatry Residency Program launching July 2025. The SUD Director will join this leadership team and play an important role in resident education.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for the administration, planning, organization and overall general management of QHC SUD Services.
- Will join the Medical leadership team of Behavioral Health.
- Participate in quality assurance and incident review management meetings and report to the Chief of Psychiatry.
Qualifications
- Must have a MD/DO degree.
- Board Certified with a valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number.
- Should have strong clinical abilities, teaching experience, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior management/leadership positions and experience with academic medical center and/or public health systems is preferred.
We offer a faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications. Compensation range from 250K to 280K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range. The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.
