Lee Health Heart Institute is currently seeking an experienced Medical Director of Mechanical Circulatory Support to join the Advanced Heart Failure Center the Lee Health Heart Institute in Fort Myers, Florida. The Medical Director of Mechanical Circulatory Support Program will play a pivotal leadership role contributing to the development and expansion of device therapy and coordination of inpatient and ambulatory care of recipients of left-ventricular assist devices.
Lee Health Heart Institute has an established, full-service cardiothoracic surgical service performing 1,300 open heart surgeries, 3,700 cath procedures and serving annually 4,000 patients admitted for acute heart failure. The Heart Park Medical Center is the hub hospital for Cardiogenic Shock Program which offers surgical Impella and ECMO treatments and encompasses four large volume hospital system totaling 1,890 licensed beds. The AHF program collaborates with the regional heart transplant centers for cardiac replacement therapies.
