Lee Health in Southwest Florida is seeking a Medical Director for our Comprehensive Obesity Program to lead clinical care and program strategy.

You will provide medical weight management, lifestyle medicine, anti-obesity pharmacotherapy, and coordinate with bariatric surgery offerings for employees.

The role involves building a multidisciplinary team, guiding referrals, data review, quality improvement, recruiting, education, and community outreach.

Qualifikationen

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Endocrinology
• Active Florida medical license (or eligibility)
• ABOM certification strongly preferred
• Experience with value-based care, healthcare administration, utilization management, and multidisciplinary care models will be necessary to support and grow the program

Aufgaben

• Provide clinical care while opening the first clinic and triaging patients into pathways
• Coordinate referrals and interpret data to set benchmarks for improvement
• Lead a collaborative team of physicians, APPs, pharmacists, dietitians, behavioral health specialists, and staff
• Oversee anti-obesity pharmacotherapy with GLP-1 therapies and align with accreditation standards
• Recruit, educate, mentor, and drive quality improvement and strategic planning to grow the program
