CVS Health, a Fortune 6 company, offers an outstanding opportunity for a Medical Director (Medical Affairs). This is a remote, work-from-home position.
The Medical Affairs department provides clinical business support across the enterprise, including oversight and mentorship for CVS Health clinical programs, PBM Clinical Quality activities, formulary development, drug information services, pipeline activities, and clinical leadership to various internal departments and clients.
The Medical Director (Medical Affairs) will report to the Medical Affairs Department and support clinical activities across the PBM, including providing consultative clinical support to Account Management for Key Clients, conducting Utilization Management activities, and responding to prescriber inquiries related to CVS Health coverage policies.
Medical Directors are expected to model high standards of clinical integrity and knowledge, representing clinical decision-making and professional thought processes enterprise-wide.
Responsibilities include oversight of clinical programs, review of utilization management criteria, conducting medication utilization reviews and appeals, participating in quality oversight activities, and supporting special clinical investigations and research projects.
The typical pay range for this role is $174,070 - $374,920, depending on experience, education, and location. The position may include bonuses, incentives, and equity awards.
